Chris Kay e04da4c8e1 build(fconf)!: clean up source collection
Including the FCONF Makefile today automatically places the FCONF
sources into the source list of the BL1 and BL2 images. This may be
undesirable if, for instance, FCONF is only required for BL31.

This change moves the BL1 and BL2 source appends out of the common
Makefile to where they are required.

BREAKING CHANGE: FCONF is no longer added to BL1 and BL2 automatically
when the FCONF Makefile (`fconf.mk`) is included. When including this
Makefile, consider whether you need to add `${FCONF_SOURCES}` and
`${FCONF_DYN_SOURCES}` to `BL1_SOURCES` and `BL2_SOURCES`.

Chris Kay 1fa05dab07 build(fdt-wrappers): introduce FDT wrappers makefile
This has been introduced to simplify dependencies on the FDT wrappers.
We generally want to avoid pulling in components on a file-by-file
basis, particularly as we are trying to draw conceptual boxes around
components in preparation for transitioning the build system to CMake,
where dependencies are modelled on libraries rather than files.

Manish V Badarkhe 49e9ac2811 refactor(plat/arm): replace FIP base and size macro with a generic name
Replaced PLAT_ARM_FIP_BASE and PLAT_ARM_FIP_MAX_SIZE macro with a
generic name PLAT_ARM_FLASH_IMAGE_BASE and PLAT_ARM_FLASH_IMAGE_MAX_SIZE
so that these macros can be reused in the subsequent GPT based support
changes.

Manish V Badarkhe a07c101a4d plat/arm: Move fconf population after the enablement of MMU
In BL2, fw_config's population happened before the cache gets

Hence to boost the performance, moved fw_config's population
after cache gets enabled (i.e. after MMU gets enabled).

Alexei Fedorov 1322dc94f7 TF-A GICv2 driver: Introduce makefile
This patch moves all GICv2 driver files into new added
'gicv2.mk' makefile for the benefit of the generic driver
which can evolve in the future without affecting platforms.

NOTE: Usage of 'drivers/arm/gic/common/gic_common.c' file
is now deprecated and platforms with GICv2 driver need to
be modified to include 'drivers/arm/gic/v2/gicv2.mk' in
their makefiles.

Manish V Badarkhe 3cb84a5425 plat/arm: Rentroduce tb_fw_config device tree
Moved BL2 configuration nodes from fw_config to newly
created tb_fw_config device tree.

fw_config device tree's main usage is to hold properties shared
across all BLx images.
An example is the "dtb-registry" node, which contains the
information about the other device tree configurations
(load-address, size).

Also, Updated load-address of tb_fw_config which is now located
after fw_config in SRAM.

Manish Pandey 81de5bf7fb plat/arm: do not include export header directly
As per "include/export/README", TF-A code should never include export
headers directly. Instead, it should include a wrapper header that
ensures the export header is included in the right manner.

"tbbr_img_def_exp.h" is directly included in TF-A code, this patch
replaces it with its wrapper header "tbbr_img_def.h".

Louis Mayencourt a6de824f7e fconf: Clean Arm IO
Merge the previously introduced arm_fconf_io_storage into arm_io_storage. This
removes the duplicate io_policies and functions definition.

This patch:
- replace arm_io_storage.c with the content of arm_fconf_io_storage.c
- rename the USE_FCONF_BASED_IO option into ARM_IO_IN_DTB.
- use the ARM_IO_IN_DTB option to compile out io_policies moved in dtb.
- propagate DEFINES when parsing dts.
- use ARM_IO_IN_DTB to include or not uuid nodes in fw_config dtb.
- set the ARM_IO_IN_DTB to 0 by default for fvp. This ensure that the behavior
of fvp stays the same as it was before the introduction of fconf.

Louis Mayencourt 25ac87940c fconf: Add dynamic config DTBs info as property
This patch introduces a better separation between the trusted-boot
related properties, and the dynamic configuration DTBs loading
information.

The dynamic configuration DTBs properties are moved to a new node:
`dtb-registry`. All the sub-nodes present will be provided to the
dynamic config framework to be loaded. The node currently only contains
the already defined configuration DTBs, but can be extended for future
features if necessary.
The dynamic config framework is modified to use the abstraction provided
by the fconf framework, instead of directly accessing the DTBs.

The trusted-boot properties are kept under the "arm,tb_fw" compatible
string, but in a separate `tb_fw-config` node.
The `tb_fw-config` property of the `dtb-registry` node simply points
to the load address of `fw_config`, as the `tb_fw-config` is currently
part of the same DTB.

Mark Dykes 436367966f Merge "Unify type of "cpu_idx" across PSCI module." into integration 2020-01-10 19:39:17 +00:00
Deepika Bhavnani 5b33ad174a Unify type of "cpu_idx" across PSCI module.
NOTE for platform integrators:
   API `plat_psci_stat_get_residency()` third argument
`last_cpu_idx` is changed from "signed int" to the
   "unsigned int" type.

Issue / Trouble points
1. cpu_idx is used as mix of `unsigned int` and `signed int` in code
with typecasting at some places leading to coverity issues.

2. Underlying platform API's return cpu_idx as `unsigned int`
and comparison is performed with platform specific defines
`PLAFORM_xxx` which is not consistent

Misra Rule 10.4:
The value of a complex expression of integer type may only be cast to
a type that is narrower and of the same signedness as the underlying
type of the expression.

Based on above points, cpu_idx is kept as `unsigned int` to match
the API's and low-level functions and platform defines are updated
where ever required

Vishnu Banavath c20c05252c drivers: add a driver for snoop control unit
The SCU connects one to four Cortex-A5/Cortex-A9 processors
to the memory system through the AXI interfaces.

The SCU functions are to:
- maintain data cache coherency between the Cortex-A5/Cortex-A9
  processors
- initiate L2 AXI memory accesses
- arbitrate between Cortex-A5/Cortex-A9 processors requesting
  L2 accesses
- manage ACP accesses.

Snoop Control Unit will enable to snoop on other CPUs caches.
This is very important when it comes to synchronizing data between
CPUs. As an example, there is a high chance that data might be
cache'd and other CPUs can't see the change. In such cases,
if snoop control unit is enabled, data is synchoronized immediately
between CPUs and the changes are visible to other CPUs.

This driver provides functionality to enable SCU as well as enabling
user to know the following
- number of CPUs present
- is a particular CPU operating in SMP mode or AMP mode
- data cache size of a particular CPU
- does SCU has ACP port
- is L2CPRESENT

Usama Arif 59ffec157c a5ds: Add handler for when user tries to switch off secondary cores
a5ds only has always-on power domain and there is no power control
present. However, without the pwr_domain_off handler, the kernel
panics when the user will try to switch off secondary cores. The
a5ds_pwr_domain_off handler will prevent kernel from crashing,
i.e. the kernel will attempt but fail to shut down the secondary CPUs
if the user tries to switch them offline.

Ambroise Vincent 37b70031e0 arm: Shorten the Firmware Update (FWU) process
The watchdog is configured with a default value of 256 seconds in order
to implement the Trusted Board Boot Requirements.

For the FVP and Juno platforms, the FWU process relies on a watchdog
reset. In order to automate the test of FWU, the length of this process
needs to be as short as possible. Instead of waiting for those 4 minutes
to have a reset by the watchdog, tell it to reset immediately.

There are no side effects as the value of the watchdog's load register
resets to 0xFFFFFFFF.

Tested on Juno.
