Andrew F. Davis 65f7b81728 ti: k3: common: Use coherent memory for shared data
HW_ASSISTED_COHERENCY implies something stronger than just hardware
coherent interconnect, specifically a DynamIQ capable ARM core.

For K3, lets use WARMBOOT_ENABLE_DCACHE_EARLY to enable caches early
and then let the caches get shut off on powerdown, to prevent data
corruption we also need to USE_COHERENT_MEM so that any accesses to
shared memory after this point is only to memory that is set as
non-cached for all cores.

John Tsichritzis 9c29e5f78e FVP: Remove GIC initialisation from secondary core cold boot
During the secondary cores' cold boot path, the cores initialise the GIC
CPU interface. However this is a redundant action since 1) the cores are
powered down immediately after that, 2) the GIC CPU interface is
initialised from scratch when the secondary cores are powered up again
later.

Moreover, this part of code was introducing a bug. In a GICv3 system,
the GIC's CPU interface system registers must not be written without the
core being marked as "awake" in the redistributor. However, this
sequence was performing such accesses and this would cause those cores
to hang. The hang was caused by the DSB instruction that would never
complete because of the GIC not recognising those writes.

For the two aforementioned reasons, the entire part of the GIC CPU
interface initialisation is removed.

John Tsichritzis 629d04f530 Apply compile-time check for AArch64-only cores
Some cores support only AArch64 mode. In those cores, only a limited
subset of the AArch32 system registers are implemented. Hence, if TF-A
is supposed to run on AArch64-only cores, it must be compiled with
CTX_INCLUDE_AARCH32_REGS=0.

Currently, the default settings for compiling TF-A are with the AArch32
system registers included. So, if we compile TF-A the default way and
attempt to run it on an AArch64-only core, we only get a runtime panic.

Now a compile-time check has been added to ensure that this flag has the
appropriate value when AArch64-only cores are included in the build.

Heiko Stuebner 3e6945e919 rockchip: drop rockchip-specific imported linker symbols for bl31
In the rockchip bl31 setup the __RO_START__ and __RO_END__ symbols are
currently imported into special BL31_RO_* constants while the general
code also imports them as BL_CODE_BASE and BL_CODE_END.

So we can just use the general symbols and can drop the duplication.

The manual documents that 0x3036006c should contains the soc revision
for imx8mq but this always reports A0. Work around this by parsing the
ROM header and checking if OCOTP register 0x40 is stuck at 0xff0055aa.

Determining this inside TF-A makes life easier for OS, see for example
this linux discussion: https://lkml.org/lkml/2019/5/3/465

The soc revision can also be useful inside TF-A itself, for example for
the non-upstream DDR DVFS "busfreq" feature is affected by 8mq erratas.

The clock for OCOTP block can be disabled by OS so only initialize soc
revision once at boot time.

N1SDP exhibits the behavior similar to Juno wherein CNTBaseN.CNTFRQ
can be written but does not reflect the value of the CNTFRQ register
in CNTCTLBase frame. This doesn't follow ARM ARM in that the value
updated in CNTCTLBase.CNTFRQ is not reflected in CNTBaseN.CNTFRQ.

Hence enable the workaround (applied to Juno) for N1SDP that updates
the CNTFRQ register in the Non Secure CNTBaseN frame.

Sami Mujawar 49d64e5d0e N1SDP: Fix DRAM2 start address
The default DRAM2 start address for Arm platforms
is 0x880000000. However, for N1SDP platform this is
0x8080000000.

Fix the DRAM2 start address by initialising
PLAT_ARM_DRAM2_BASE.

Without this fix there is a mismatch of the System
memory region view as seen by the BL31 runtime
firmware (PSCI) versus the view of the OS (which
is based on the description provided by UEFI. In
this case UEFI is correctly describing the DRAM2
start address).

This implicates in secondary cores failing to start
on some Operating Systems if the OS decides to place
the secondary start address in the mismatched region.

John Tsichritzis 076b5f02e2 Add compile-time errors for HW_ASSISTED_COHERENCY flag
This patch fixes this issue:
https://github.com/ARM-software/tf-issues/issues/660

The introduced changes are the following:

1) Some cores implement cache coherency maintenance operation on the
hardware level. For those cores, such as - but not only - the DynamIQ
cores, it is mandatory that TF-A is compiled with the
HW_ASSISTED_COHERENCY flag. If not, the core behaviour at runtime is
unpredictable. To prevent this, compile time checks have been added and
compilation errors are generated, if needed.

2) To enable this change for FVP, a logical separation has been done for
the core libraries. A system cannot contain cores of both groups, i.e.
cores that manage coherency on hardware and cores that don't do it. As
such, depending on the HW_ASSISTED_COHERENCY flag, FVP includes the
libraries only of the relevant cores.

3) The neoverse_e1.S file has been added to the FVP sources.

Christoph Müllner 33218d2a81 rockchip: Disable binary generation for all SoCs.
All supported Rockchip SoCs (RK3288, RK3328, RK3368 and RK3399)
have non-continuous memory areas in the linker script with a huge
gap between them. This results in extremely padded binary images
with a size of about 4 GiB.

E.g. on the RK3399 we have the following memory areas (and base addresses):
RAM (0x1000), SRAM (0xFF8C0000), and PMUSRAM (0xFF3B0000).

Consumers of the TF-A project (e.g. coreboot or U-Boot) therefore
use the ELF image instead, which has a size of a few hundred kBs.

In order to prevent the generation of a huge and useless file,
this patch disables the binary generation for all affected Rockchip
SoCs.

Christoph Müllner 220c33a2c5 rockchip: Allow console device to be set by DTB.
Currently the compile-time constant PLAT_RK_UART_BASE defines
which UART is used as console device. E.g. on RK3399 it is set
to UART2. That means, that a single bl31 image can not be used
for two boards, which just differ on the UART console.

This patch addresses this limitation by parsing the "stdout-path"
property from the "chosen" node in the DTB. The expected property
string is expected to have the form "serialN:XXX", with
N being either 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. When the property is found, it will
be used to override PLAT_RK_UART_BASE.

Tested on RK3399-Q7, with a stdout-path of "serial0:115200n8".

Christoph Müllner f476e63f7a rockchip: Add params_setup to RK3328.
params_setup.c provides the function params_early_setup, which

Heiko Stuebner 780e3f2455 rockchip: add support for rk3288
The rk3288 is a 4-core Cortex-A12 SoC and shares a lot of features
with later SoCs.

Working features are general non-secure mode (the gic needs special
love for that), psci-based smp bringing cpu cores online and also
taking them offline again, psci-based suspend (the simpler variant
also included in the linux kernel, deeper suspend following later)
and I was also already able to test HYP-mode and was able to boot
a virtual kernel using kvm.

Heiko Stuebner 82e18f8998 rockchip: add common aarch32 support
There are a number or ARMv7 Rockchip SoCs that are very similar in their
bringup routines to the existing arm64 SoCs, so there is quite a high
commonality possible here.

Things like virtualization also need psci and hyp-mode and instead of
trying to cram this into bootloaders like u-boot, barebox or coreboot
(all used in the field), re-use the existing infrastructure in TF-A
for this (both Rockchip plat support and armv7 support in general).

So add core support for aarch32 Rockchip SoCs, with actual soc support
following in a separate patch.

Aditya Angadi b0c97dafe0 plat/arm: introduce wrapper functions to setup secure watchdog
The BL1 stage setup code for ARM platforms sets up the SP805 watchdog
controller as the secure watchdog. But not all ARM platforms use SP805
as the secure watchdog controller.

So introduce two new ARM platform code specific wrapper functions to
start and stop the secure watchdog. These functions then replace the
calls to SP805 driver in common BL1 setup code. All the ARM platforms
implement these wrapper functions by either calling into SP805 driver
or the SBSA watchdog driver.

At the moment this will fail because the header file included by

Wei Yu 7d76df7db2 hikey960: Fix race condition between hotplug and idles
From the hotplug testing on Hikey960, in some case cores fail to become
online in the system. When some cores are hotplugged off, if other
cores in the same cluster enter into CPU idle states at the meantime,
the cluster will be powered off. This introduces the state machine
malfunction in the power controller, thus when hotplug on the core
afterwards, it fails to boot up the core because the power controller
thinks the cluster is powered on.

This patch is to avoid race condition between hotplug and idles by
preventing cluster power off when some of cores in the cluster are
hotplugged off, if all cores in the same cluster are hotplugged off,
the cluster can be powered off.

The argument passed via x1 is used as a base address for comphy related

To overcome this issue make sure that the address passed via SMC points

John Tsichritzis ae2e01b876 ROMLIB bug fixes
Fixed the below bugs:
1) Bug related to build flag V=1: if the flag was V=0, building with
ROMLIB would fail.
2) Due to a syntax bug in genwrappers.sh, index file entries marked as
"patch" or "reserved" were ignored.
3) Added a prepending hash to constants that genwrappers is generating.
4) Due to broken dependencies, currently the inclusion functionality is
intentionally not utilised. This is why the contents of romlib/jmptbl.i
have been copied to platform specific jmptbl.i files. As a result of the
broken dependencies, when changing the index files, e.g. patching
functions, a clean build is always required. This is a known issue that
will be fixed in the future.

Heiko Stuebner 7029e80683 rockchip: add an fdt parsing stub for platform param
The Rockchip ATF platform can be entered from both Coreboot and U-Boot.
While Coreboot does submit the list of linked parameter structs as
platform param, upstream u-boot actually always provides a pointer
to a devicetree as parameter.
This results in current ATF not running at all when started from U-Boot.

To fix this, add a stub that checks if the parameter is a fdt so we
can at least boot and not get stuck. Later on we can extend this with
actual parsing of information from the devicetree.

Sandrine Bailleux 47102b35d6 Put Pointer Authentication key value in BSS section
The dummy implementation of the plat_init_apiakey() platform API uses
an internal 128-bit buffer to store the initial key value used for
Pointer Authentication support.

The intent - as stated in the file comments - was for this buffer to
be write-protected by the MMU. Initialization of the buffer would be
performed before enabling the MMU, thus bypassing write protection
checks.

However, the key buffer ended up into its own read-write section by
mistake due to a typo on the section name ('rodata.apiakey' instead of
'.rodata.apiakey', note the leading dot). As a result, the linker
script was not pulling it into the .rodata output section.

One way to address this issue could have been to fix the section
name. However, this approach does not work well for BL1. Being the
first image in the boot flow, it typically is sitting in real ROM
so we don't have the capacity to update the key buffer at any time.

The dummy implementation of plat_init_apiakey() provided at the moment
is just there to demonstrate the Pointer Authentication feature in
action. Proper key management and key generation would have to be a
lot more careful on a production system.

Therefore, the approach chosen here to leave the key buffer in
writable memory but move it to the BSS section. This does mean that
the key buffer could be maliciously updated for intalling unintended
keys on the warm boot path but at the feature is only at an
experimental stage right now, this is deemed acceptable.

Andre Przywara c48d02bade allwinner: regulators: pick correct DT subnode
So far the DT node describing the AXP803 PMIC used in many Allwinner A64
boards had only one subnode, so our code just entering the first subnode
to find all regulators worked fine.

However recent DT updates in the Linux kernel add more subnodes *before*
that, so we need to make sure to explicitly enter the "regulators"
subnode to find the information we are after.

The "--unresolved=el3_panic" flag actually was a big hammer that
allowed Tegra platforms to work with armlink previously but it
masks legit errors with the code as well.

GICR_WAKER.ProcessorSleep can only be set to zero when:
— GICR_WAKER.Sleep bit[0] == 0.
— GICR_WAKER.Quiescent bit[31] == 0.

On some platforms, when system reboot with GIC in sleep
mode but with power ON, such as on NXP's i.MX8QM, Linux
kernel enters suspend but could be requested to reboot,
and GIC is in sleep mode and it is inside a power domain
which is ON in this scenario, when CPU reset, the GIC
driver trys to set CORE's redistributor interface to awake,
with GICR_WAKER.Sleep bit[0] and GICR_WAKER.Quiescent bit[31]
both set, the ProcessorSleep bit[1] will never be clear
and cause system hang.

This commit improves the SDHost driver for RPi3 as following:
 * Unblock MMC_CMD(17). Using MMC_CMD(17) is more efficient on

 * In some low probability that SEND_OP_COND might results CRC7

Marek Vasut 0969397f29 rcar_gen3: plat: Prevent PCIe hang during L1X config access
In case the PCIe controller receives a L1_Enter_PM DLLP, it will
disable the internal PLLs. The system software cannot predict it
and can attempt to perform device config space access across the

such condition happens, the PCIe controller register access will

This patch adds checks for which PCIe controller is enabled,

Varun Wadekar 3ca3c27cad Tegra: support for System Suspend using sc7entry-fw binary
This patch adds support to enter System Suspend on Tegra210 platforms
without the traditional BPMP firmware. The BPMP firmware will no longer
be supported on Tegra210 platforms and its functionality will be
divided across the CPU and sc7entry-fw.

The sc7entry-fw takes care of performing the hardware sequence required
to enter System Suspend (SC7 power state) from the COP. The CPU is required
to load this firmware to the internal RAM of the COP and start the sequence.
The CPU also make sure that the COP is off after cold boot and is only
powered on when we want to start the actual System Suspend sequence.

The previous bootloader loads the firmware to TZDRAM and passes its base and
size as part of the boot parameters. The EL3 layer is supposed to sanitize
the parameters before touching the firmware blob.

To assist the warmboot code with the PMIC discovery, EL3 is also supposed to
program PMC's scratch register #210, with appropriate values. Without these
settings the warmboot code wont be able to get the device out of System
Suspend.

This patch adds support to enter/exit to/from cluster idle power
state on Tegra210 platforms that do not load BPMP firmware.

The CPU initates the cluster idle sequence on the last standing
CPU, by following these steps:

Entry
-----
* stop other CPUs from waking up
* program the PWM pinmux to tristate for OVR PMIC
* program the flow controller to enter CC6 state
* skip L1 $ flush during cluster power down, as L2 $ is inclusive
  of L1 $ on Cortex-A57 CPUs

Exit
----
* program the PWM pinmux to un-tristate for OVR PMIC
* allow other CPUs to wake up

This patch also makes sure that cluster idle state entry is not
enabled until CL-DVFS is ready.

On earlier Tegra platforms, e.g. Tegra210, the watchdog timer's FIQ interrupt
is not direclty wired to the GICD. It goes to the flow controller instead, for
power state management. But the flow controller can route the FIQ to the GICD,

This patch adds routines to enable/disable routing the legacy FIQ used by
the watchdog timers, to the GICD.
