Remi Pommarel b99f9224ed meson/gxl: Add support for SHA256 DMA engine
In order to configure and boot SCP, BL31 has to compute and send
the SHA-256 of the firmware data via scpi. Luckily Amlogic GXL SOC
has a DMA facility that could be used to offload SHA-256
computations. This adds basic support of this hardware SHA-256
engine.

Paul Beesley 7d721816a3 drivers: Remove TODO from io_fip.c
The comment suggests checking version numbers and
a checksum but there doesn't seem to be any usable
data for either of these.

For example, fip_toc_header_t doesn't contain any
version information and neither does fip_toc_entry_t.

As the function name "is_valid_header" suggests, this
function is not concerned with checksumming any of
the table of contents entries.

Tien Hock, Loh 3d0f30bb54 drivers: synopsys: Fix synopsys MMC driver
There are some issues with synopsys MMC driver:
- CMD8 should not expect data (for SD)
- ACMD51 should expect data (Send SCR for SD)
- dw_prepare should not dictate size to be MMC_BLOCK_SIZE, block size is
now handled in the dw_prepare function
- after the CMD completes, when doing dw_read, we need to invalidate cache
and wait for the data transfer to complete
- Need to set FIFO threshold, otherwise DMA might never get the interrupt
to read or write

Tien Hock, Loh a468e75637 drivers: mmc: Fix some issues with MMC stack
Some bugs in MMC stack needs to be fixed:
- scr cannot be local as this will cause cache issue when invalidating
after the read DMA transfer is completed
- ACMD41 needs to send voltage information in initialization, otherwise the

- when checking device state, retry until the retries counter goes to zero

Ying-Chun Liu (PaulLiu) 2c8ef2ae6b rpi3: sdhost: SDHost driver improvement
This commit improves the SDHost driver for RPi3 as following:
 * Unblock MMC_CMD(17). Using MMC_CMD(17) is more efficient on
   block reading.
 * In some low probability that SEND_OP_COND might results CRC7
error. We can consider that the command runs correctly. We don't
need to retry this command so removing the code for retry.
 * Using MMC_BUS_WIDTH_1 as MMC default value to improve the stability.
 * Increase the clock to 50Mhz in data mode to speed up the io.
 * Change the pull resistors configuration to gain more stability.

Soby Mathew 5dc2c3f95c GICv3: Allow probe for fewer GICR interfaces than exposed by the frame
Previously the GICv3 redistributor probe function
(gicv3_rdistif_base_addrs_probe()) asserted that the number of
per-CPU redistributor interfaces expected to be probed by the
platform is equal to the number exported by the redistributor
frame. This is a problem in case the number of CPUs in the
platform is less than the number of redistributor interfaces
in the frame. Hence this patch removes the assertion check
and allows probe for fewer redistributor interfaces as required
by the platform.

Antonio Nino Diaz 09d40e0e08 Sanitise includes across codebase
Enforce full include path for includes. Deprecate old paths.

The following folders inside include/lib have been left unchanged:

- include/lib/cpus/${ARCH}
- include/lib/el3_runtime/${ARCH}

The reason for this change is that having a global namespace for
includes isn't a good idea. It defeats one of the advantages of having
folders and it introduces problems that are sometimes subtle (because
you may not know the header you are actually including if there are two
of them).

For example, this patch had to be created because two headers were
called the same way: e0ea0928d5 ("Fix gpio includes of mt8173 platform
to avoid collision."). More recently, this patch has had similar
problems: 46f9b2c3a2 ("drivers: add tzc380 support").

This problem was introduced in commit 4ecca33988 ("Move include and
source files to logical locations"). At that time, there weren't too
many headers so it wasn't a real issue. However, time has shown that
this creates problems.

Platforms that want to preserve the way they include headers may add the
removed paths to PLAT_INCLUDES, but this is discouraged.

Joakim Bech 7d6394297d mmc: increase delay when initializing mmc
Running TF-A 2.0 and later seems to cause a regression on HiKey 620.

    NOTICE: BL2: v2.0(release):v2.0
    NOTICE: BL2: Built : 17:41:23, Dec 17 2018
NOTICE: acpu_dvfs_set_freq: set acpu freq success!ERROR: CMD1 failed after 100 retries
ERROR: BL2: Failed to load image (-5)

The reason seems to be that during emmc enumeration when BL2 sends the command
    OCR_SECTOR_MODE | OCR_VDD_MIN_2V7 | OCR_VDD_MIN_1V7

it for some reason takes some more time to get a reply. So a delay with
mdelay(1), seems to not be enough any longer and therefore we increase it to
mdelay(10) instead which makes the device boot as expected again.

Julius Werner 91b48c9f8f drivers/console: Reimplement MUTLI_CONSOLE_API framework in C
Now that we have switched to using the stack in MULTI_CONSOLE_API
framework functions and have factored all code involved in crash
reporting out into a separate file, there's really no reason to keep the
main framework code in assembly anymore. This patch rewrites it in C
which allows us to have a single implementation across aarch32/64 and
should be much easier to maintain going forward.

Julius Werner 985ee0b7e8 drivers/console: Link console framework code by default
This patch makes the build system link the console framework code by
default, like it already does with other common libraries (e.g. cache
helpers). This should not make a difference in practice since TF is
linked with --gc-sections, so the linker will garbage collect all
functions and data that are not referenced by any other code. Thus, if a
platform doesn't want to include console code for size reasons and
doesn't make any references to console functions, the code will not be
included in the final binary.

To avoid compatibility issues with older platform ports, only make this
change for the MULTI_CONSOLE_API.

Julius Werner 63c52d0071 plat/common/crash_console_helpers.S: Fix MULTI_CONSOLE_API support
Crash reporting via the default consoles registered by MULTI_CONSOLE_API
has been broken since commit d35cc34 (Console: Use callee-saved
registers), which was introduced to allow console drivers written in C.
It's not really possible with the current crash reporting framework to
support console drivers in C, however we should make sure that the
existing assembly drivers that do support crash reporting continue to
work through the MULTI_CONSOLE_API.

This patch fixes the problem by creating custom console_putc() and
console_flush() implementations for the crash reporting case that do not
use the stack. Platforms that want to use this feature will have to link
plat/common/aarch64/crash_console_helpers.S explicitly.

Also update the documentation to better reflect the new reality (of this
being an option rather than the expected default for most platforms).

In Armada 8K DB boards, PCIe initialization can be executed only once
because PCIe reset performed during chip power on and it cannot be
executed via GPIO later.
This means that power on can be executed only once, when it's called

Power on:
Read bit 21 of the mode, it marks if the caller is

Power off:
Check if the comphy was already configured to PCIe, if yes,
check if the caller is bootloader, if both conditions are true
(PCIe mode and called by Linux) - skip the power-off.

In addition, fix incorrect documentation describing mode fields -

All identifiers, regardless of use, that start with two underscores are
reserved. This means they can't be used in header guards.

The style that this project is now to use the full name of the file in
capital letters followed by 'H'. For example, for a file called
"uart_example.h", the header guard is UART_EXAMPLE_H.

The exceptions are files that are imported from other projects:

- CryptoCell driver
- dt-bindings folders
- zlib headers

Andre Przywara 103f19f055 allwinner: Add RSB driver
The "Reduced Serial Bus" is an Allwinner specific bus, bearing many
similarities with I2C. It sports a much higher bus frequency, though,
(typically 3 MHz) and requires much less handholding for the typical
task of manipulating slave registers (fire-and-forget).
On most A64 boards this bus is used to connect the PMIC to the SoC.

This driver provides basic primitives to read and write slave registers,
it will be later used by the PMIC code.

Soby Mathew cc5859ca19 Multi-console: Deprecate the `finish_console_register` macro
The `finish_console_register` macro is used by the multi console
framework to register the `console_t` driver callbacks. It relied
on weak references to the `ldr` instruction to populate 0 to the
callback in case the driver has not defined the appropriate
function. Use of `ldr` instruction to load absolute address to a
reference makes the binary position dependant. These instructions
should be replaced with adrp/adr instruction for position independant
executable(PIE). But adrp/adr instructions don't work well with weak
references as described in GNU ld bugzilla issue 22589.

This patch defines a new version of `finish_console_register` macro
which can spcify which driver callbacks are valid and deprecates the
old one. If any of the argument is not specified, then the macro
populates 0 for that callback. Hence the functionality of the previous
deprecated macro is preserved. The USE_FINISH_CONSOLE_REG_2 define
is used to select the new variant of the macro and will be removed
once the deprecated variant is removed.

All the upstream console drivers have been migrated to use the new
macro in this patch.

NOTE: Platforms be aware that the new variant of the
`finish_console_register` should be used and the old variant is
deprecated.

Grzegorz Jaszczyk 42a293379e mvebu: cp110: introduce COMPHY porting layer
Some of COMPHY parameters depends on the hw connection between the SoC
and the PHY, which can vary on different boards e.g. due to different
wires length. Define the "porting layer" with some defaults
parameters. It ease updating static values which needs to be updated due
to board differences, which are now grouped in one place.

Example porting layer for a8k-db is under:
plat/marvell/a8k/a80x0/board/phy-porting-layer.h

If for some boards parameters are not defined (missing
phy-porting-layer.h), the default values are used
(drivers/marvell/comphy/phy-default-porting-layer.h)
and the following compilation warning is show:
"Using default comphy params - you may need to suit them to your board".

The common COMPHY driver code is extracted in order to be shared with
future COMPHY driver for A3700 SoC platforms

Overview
---------

BOOTROM starts the cpu at EL3; In this port BL2 will therefore be entered
at this exception level (the Renesas' ATF reference tree [1] resets into
EL1 before entering BL2 - see its bl2.ld.S)

BL2 initializes DDR (and i2c to talk to the PMIC on some platforms)
before determining the boot reason (cold or warm).

During suspend all CPUs are switched off and the DDR is put in
backup mode (some kind of self-refresh mode). This means that BL2 is
always entered in a cold boot scenario.

Once BL2 boots, it determines the boot reason, writes it to shared
memory (BOOT_KIND_BASE) together with the BL31 parameters
(PARAMS_BASE) and jumps to BL31.

To all effects, BL31 is as if it is being entered in reset mode since
it still needs to initialize the rest of the cores; this is the reason
behind using direct shared memory access to BOOT_KIND_BASE and
PARAMS_BASE instead of using registers to get to those locations (see
el3_common_macros.S and bl31_entrypoint.S for the RESET_TO_BL31 use
case).

Depending on the boot reason BL31 initializes the rest of the cores:
in case of suspend, it uses a MBOX memory region to recover the
program counters.

Bryan O'Donoghue a21da47806 drivers: imx: mxc_usdhc: Do not set MMC_RSP_48 for MMC_RESPONSE_R2
commit 97d5db8c5c reverts an update to the
MMC layer that accompanied the original submission of this MMC driver this
is the right-thing-to-do in terms of the MMC spec.

Unfortunately the reversion also breaks this driver. The issue is the i.MX
controller doesn't want MMC_RSP_48 set for MMC_RESPONSE_R2.

The appropriate place to place that constraint is obviously in
drivers/imx/usdhc/imx_usdhc.c not in the shared MMC codebase. This patch
restores the logic the i.MX controller requires without breaking it for
everyone else.

Shawn Guo a2a69bc89f drivers: mmc: Fix R2 response type definition
The Poplar is broken on eMMC initialization because of commit
2a82a9c95f ("drivers: emmc: dw_mmc: Add response flag into response ID
definition"). It changes the driver behavior on response type handling
in dw_send_cmd(), because MMC_RESPONSE_R(2) and MMC_RESPONSE_R2 are
different things. MMC core is still sending the former while we already
changed to check the latter in dw_mmc driver.

This patch fixes R2 response type in MMC core code. It's the same
thing as what commit 94522ff7f6 ("drivers: mmc: Fix R3 response type
definition") does for R3 response.

With this fix, Poplar is back to work.

John Tsichritzis 6d01a46334 Prepare Mbed TLS drivers for shared heap
The Mbed TLS drivers, in order to work, need a heap for internal usage.
This heap, instead of being directly referenced by the drivers, now it
is being accessed indirectly through a pointer. Also, the heap, instead
of being part of the drivers, now it is being received through the
plat_get_mbedtls_heap() function. This function requests a heap from the
current BL image which utilises the Mbed TLS drivers.

Those changes create the opportunity for the Mbed TLS heap to be shared
among different images, thus saving memory. A default heap
implementation is provided but it can be overridden by a platform
specific, optimised implemenetation.

Bryan O'Donoghue 2f5307d6ba drivers: imx: crash-console: Add a mxc_crash_console driver
This patch does two main things

- It implements the crash console UART init in assembly, as a
  hard-coded 115200 8N1 assumed from the 24 MHz clock.

If the clock setup code has not run yet, this code can't work but,
setting up clocks and clock-gates is way out of scope for this type of
  recovery function.

- It adds code to write a character out of the NXP UART without using any
  stack-based operations when doing so.

- Provides support for crash console in DCE or DTE mode.

- Adds a console getc() callback.

- Adds a console putc() callback, translating '\n' to '\r' + '\n'.

- Initializes the MXC UART, take a crude method of calculating the
BAUD rate generator. The UART clock-gates must have been enabled prior
to launching the UART init code.
Special care needs to be taken to ensure the UBIR is initialized before the
UBMR and we need to ensure that UCR2.SRST comes good before trying to
program other registers associated with the UART.

Having atexit allows to set a different function pointer in every image.

Roberto Vargas ea7a57a3a5 Don't include mbebtls include paths in INCLUDES
Mbebtls include paths are controlled by the user using the variable
MBEDTLS_DIR and they are out of the TF source tree. Since these
includes have a different origin it is better to move them to a
different variable.

This change makes easier for the romlib Makefile to parse the include
paths.

Merge pull request #1432 from Yann-lms/mmc_framework
[RFC] Add MMC framework
2018-07-12 16:53:08 +01:00
Yann Gautier ad71d45e7c Add MMC framework
This change is largely based on existing eMMC framework by Haojian Zhuang
(@hzhuang1).

The MMC framework supports both eMMC and SD card devices. It was
written as a new framework since breaking few eMMC framework APIs.

At card probe and after the reset to idle command (CMD0), a Send
Interface Condition Command is sent (CMD8) to distinguish between
eMMC and SD card devices. eMMC devices go through the same
sequence as in the former eMMC framework. Else the framework
uses commands dedicated to SD-cards for init or frequency switch.

A structure is created to share info with the driver. It stores:
- the MMC type (eMMC, SD or SD HC)
- the device size
- the max frequency supported by the device
- the block size: 512 for eMMC and SD-HC and read from CSD
 structure for older SD-cards

Restriction to align buffers on block size has been removed.
Cache maintenance was removed and is expected to be done in the platform
or device driver.

The MMC framework includes some MISRA compliance coding style
maybe not yet ported in the existing eMMC framework.

Antonio Nino Diaz c2e05bb78c multi console: Assert that consoles aren't registered twice
In the multi console driver, allowing to register the same console more
than once may result in an infinte loop when putc is called.

If, for example, a boot message is trying to be printed, but the
consoles in the loop in the linked list are runtime consoles, putc will
iterate forever looking for a console that can print boot messages (or
a NULL pointer that will never come).

This loop in the linked list can occur after restoring the system from a
system suspend. The boot console is registered during the cold boot in
BL31, but the runtime console is registered even in the warm boot path.
Consoles are always added to the start of the linked list when they are
registered, so this it what should happen if they were actually
different structures:

   console_list -> NULL
   console_list -> BOOT -> NULL
   console_list -> RUNTIME -> BOOT -> NULL
   console_list -> RUNTIME -> RUNTIME -> BOOT -> NULL

In practice, the two runtime consoles are the same one, so they create
this loop:

   console_list -> RUNTIME -.    X -> BOOT -> NULL
                       ^ |
                       `----'

This patch adds an assertion to detect this problem. The assertion will
fail whenever the same structure tries to be registered while being on
the list.

In order to assert this, console_is_registered() has been implemented.
It returns 1 if the specified console is registered, 0 if not.

Dan Handley dcf01a0a8d Emit warnings when using deprecated GIC init
Emit runtime warnings when intializing the GIC drivers using the
deprecated method of defining integer interrupt arrays in the GIC driver
data structures; interrupt_prop_t arrays should be used instead. This
helps platforms detect that they have migration work to do. Previously,
no warning was emitted in this case. This affects both the GICv2 and GICv3
drivers.

Also use the __deprecated attribute to emit a build time warning if these
deprecated fields are used. These warnings are suppressed in the GIC
driver compatibility functions but will be visible if platforms use them.

Dan Handley bc1a03c7a6 Improve MULTI_CONSOLE_API deprecation warnings
For platforms that have not migrated to MULTI_CONSOLE_API == 1, there
are a lot of confusing deprecated declaration warnings relating to
use of console_init() and console_uninit(). Some of these relate to use
by the generic code, not the platform code. These functions are not really
deprecated but *removed* when MULTI_CONSOLE_API == 1.

This patch consolidates these warnings into a single preprocessor warning.
The __deprecated attribute is removed from the console_init() and
console_uninit() declarations.

For preprocessor warnings like this to not cause fatal build errors,
this patch adds -Wno-error=cpp to the build flags when
ERROR_DEPRECATED == 0.
This option (and -Wno-error=deprecated-declarations) is now added to
CPPFLAGS instead of TF_CFLAGS to ensure the build flags are used in the
assembler as well as the compiler.

This patch also disentangles the MULTI_CONSOLE_API and ERROR_DEPRECATED
build flags by defaulting MULTI_CONSOLE_API to 0 instead of
ERROR_DEPRECATED. This allows platforms that have not migrated to
MULTI_CONSOLE_API to use ERROR_DEPRECATED == 1 to emit a more meaningful
build error.

Finally, this patch bans use of MULTI_CONSOLE_API == 1 and AARCH32, since
the AArch32 console implementation does not support
MULTI_CONSOLE_API == 1.

Fix udelay issues that can make duration slightly too short
2018-01-30 08:59:35 +00:00
Julius Werner e2aec918d0 delay_timer: Guarantee that delay time can never be undershot
Delay functions like udelay() are often used to ensure that the
necessary time passed to allow some asynchronous event to finish, such
as the stabilization delay for a power rail. For these use cases it is
not very problematic if the delay is slightly longer than requested,
but it is critical that the delay must never be shorter.

The current udelay() implementation contains two hazards that may cause
the delay to be slightly shorter than intended: Firstly, the amount of
ticks to wait is calculated with an integer division, which may cut off
the last fraction of ticks needed. Secondly, the delay may be short by a
fraction of a tick because we do not know whether the initial ("start")
sample of the timer was near the start or near the end of the current
tick. Thus, if the code intends to wait for one tick, it might read the
timer value close to the end of the current tick and then read it again
right after the start of the next tick, concluding that the duration of
a full tick has passed when it in fact was just a fraction of it.

This patch rounds up the division and always adds one extra tick to
counteract both problems and ensure that delays will always be larger
but never smaller than requested.

io: block: fix block_read/write may read/write overlap buffer
2017-12-19 17:39:20 +00:00
Roberto Vargas e19e40af97 io: block: fix block_read/write may read/write overlap buffer
The block operations were trying to optimize the number of memory
copies, and it tried to use directly the buffer supplied by the user
to them. This was a mistake because it created too many corner cases:

1- It was possible to generate unaligned
operations to unaligned buffers. Drivers that were using
DMA transfer failed in that case.

2- It was possible to generate read operations
with sizes that weren't a multiple of the block size. Some
low level drivers assumed that condition and they calculated
the number of blocks dividing the number of bytes by the
size of the block, without considering the remaining bytes.

3- The block_* operations didn't control the
number of bytes actually copied to memory, because the
low level drivers were writing directly to the user buffer.

This patch rewrite block_read and block_write to use always the device
buffer, which the platform ensures that has the correct aligment and
the correct size.

Julius Werner 9536bae6df Add new function-pointer-based console API
This patch overhauls the console API to allow for multiple console
instances of different drivers that are active at the same time. Instead
of binding to well-known function names (like console_core_init),
consoles now provide a register function (e.g. console_16550_register())
that will hook them into the list of active consoles. All console
operations will be dispatched to all consoles currently in the list.

The new API will be selected by the build-time option MULTI_CONSOLE_API,
which defaults to ${ERROR_DEPRECATED} for now. The old console API code
will be retained to stay backwards-compatible to older platforms, but
should no longer be used for any newly added platforms and can hopefully
be removed at some point in the future.

The new console API is intended to be used for both normal (bootup) and
crash use cases, freeing platforms of the need to set up the crash
console separately. Consoles can be individually configured to be active
active at boot (until first handoff to EL2), at runtime (after first
handoff to EL2), and/or after a crash. Console drivers should set a sane
default upon registration that can be overridden with the
console_set_scope() call. Code to hook up the crash reporting mechanism
to this framework will be added with a later patch.

This patch only affects AArch64, but the new API could easily be ported
to AArch32 as well if desired.

Jeenu Viswambharan c639e8ebee GIC: Allow specifying interrupt properties
The GIC driver initialization currently allows an array of interrupts to
be configured as secure. Future use cases would require more interrupt
configuration other than just security, such as priority.

This patch introduces a new interrupt property array as part of both
GICv2 and GICv3 driver data. The platform can populate the array with
interrupt numbers and respective properties. The corresponding driver
initialization iterates through the array, and applies interrupt
configuration as required.

This capability, and the current way of supplying array (or arrays, in
case of GICv3) of secure interrupts, are however mutually exclusive.
Henceforth, the platform should supply either:

  - A list of interrupts to be mapped as secure (the current way).
Platforms that do this will continue working as they were. With this
    patch, this scheme is deprecated.

  - A list of interrupt properties (properties include interrupt group).
Individual interrupt properties are specified via. descriptors of
type 'interrupt_prop_desc_t', which can be populated with the macro
    INTR_PROP_DESC().

A run time assert checks that the platform doesn't specify both.

Henceforth the old scheme of providing list of secure interrupts is
deprecated. When built with ERROR_DEPRECATED=1, GIC drivers will require
that the interrupt properties are supplied instead of an array of secure
interrupts.

Add a section to firmware design about configuring secure interrupts.

interrupts of a given type.

Jeenu Viswambharan fa9db4230a GICv2: Add driver API to set PE target mask
The PE target mask is used to translate linear PE index (returned by
platform core position) to a bit mask used when targeting interrupts to
a PE, viz. when raising SGIs and routing SPIs.

The platform shall:

  - Populate the driver data with a pointer to array that's to contain
    per-PE target masks.

  - Invoke the new driver API 'gicv2_set_pe_target_mask()' during
per-CPU initialization so that the driver populates the target mask
    for that CPU.

Platforms that don't intend to target interrupts or raise SGIs need not
populate this.

Soby Mathew b258278eec GICv3: ITS architectural save and restore helpers
This patch adds functions to save and restore GICv3 ITS registers during
system suspend. Please note that the power management of GIC ITS is
implementation defined. These functions only implements the
architectural part of the ITS power management and they do not restore
memory structures or register content required to support ITS. Even if
the ITS implementation stores structures in memory, an implementation
defined power down sequence is likely to be required to flush some
internal ITS caches to memory. If such implementation defined sequence
is not followed, the platform must ensure that the ITS is not power
gated during system suspend.

Soby Mathew ebf1ca10e4 GICv3: add functions for save and restore
During system suspend, the GICv3 Distributor and Redistributor context
can be lost due to power gating of the system power domain. This means
that the GICv3 context needs to be saved prior to system suspend and
restored on wakeup. Currently the consensus is that the Firmware should
be in charge of this. See tf-issues#464 for more details.

This patch introduces helper APIs in the GICv3 driver to save and
restore the Distributor and Redistributor contexts. The GICv3 ITS
context is not considered in this patch because the specification says
that the details of ITS power management is implementation-defined.
These APIs are expected to be appropriately invoked by the platform
layer during system suspend.

Antonio Nino Diaz e47ac1fd63 Fix type of `unsigned long` constants
The type `unsigned long` is 32 bit wide in AArch32, but 64 bit wide in
AArch64. This is inconsistent and that's why we avoid using it as per
the Coding Guidelines. This patch changes all `UL` occurrences to `U`
or `ULL` depending on the context so that the size of the constant is
clear.

This problem affected the macro `BIT(nr)`. As long as this macro is used
to fill fields of registers, that's not a problem, since all registers
are 32 bit wide in AArch32 and 64 bit wide in AArch64. However, if the
macro is used to fill the fields of a 64-bit integer, it won't be able
to set the upper 32 bits in AArch32.

By changing the type of this macro to `unsigned long long` the behaviour
is always the same regardless of the architecture, as this type is
64-bit wide in both cases.

Some Tegra platform files have been modified by this patch.

Jeenu Viswambharan e1c59ab3f1 Introduce ARM GIC-600 driver
ARM GIC-600 IP complies with ARM GICv3 architecture, but among others,
implements a power control register in the Redistributor frame. This
register must be programmed to mark the frame as powered on, before
accessing other registers in the frame. Rest of initialization sequence
remains the same.

The driver provides APIs for Redistributor power management, and
overrides those in the generic GICv3 driver. The driver data is shared
between generic GICv3 driver and that of GIC-600.

For FVP platform, the GIC-600 driver is chosen when FVP_USE_GIC_DRIVER
is set to FVP_GIC600. Also update user guide.

Platforms aligned with TBBR are supposed to use their own OIDs, but
defining the same macros with different OIDs does not provide any

For easier use of TBBR, this commit allows platforms to reuse the OIDs
obtained by ARM Ltd. This will be useful for non-ARM vendors that

The OIDs of ARM Ltd. have been moved to include/tools_share/tbbr_oid.h

Platforms can include <tbbr_oid.h> instead of <platform_oid.h> by
defining USE_TBBR_DEFS as 1. USE_TBBR_DEFS is 0 by default to keep the
backward compatibility.

C files shouldn't be included into others. This file only contains some
macros and functions that can be made `static inline`, so it is ok to
convert it into a header file.

This is the only occurrence of a C file being included in another one in
the codebase instead of using a header, other occurrences are a way of
achieving backwards-compatibility.

Functions therein have been qualified as `inline`.

Antonio Nino Diaz fabd21ad36 Revert "tbbr: Use constant-time bcmp() to compare hashes"
This reverts commit b621fb503c.

Because of the Trusted Firmware design, timing-safe functions are not
needed. Using them may be misleading as it could be interpreted as being
a protection against private data leakage, which isn't the case here.

For each image, the SHA-256 hash is calculated. Some padding is appended
and the result is encrypted with a private key using RSA-2048. This is
the signature of the image. The public key is stored along with BL1 in
read-only memory and the encrypted hash is stored in the FIP.

When authenticating an image, the TF decrypts the hash stored in the FIP
and recalculates the hash of the image. If they don't match, the boot
sequence won't continue.

A constant-time comparison does not provide additional security as all
the data involved in this process is already known to any attacker.
There is no private data that can leaked through a timing attack when
authenticating an image.

`timingsafe_bcmp()` is kept in the codebase because it could be useful
in the future.

Replace all use of memset by zeromem when zeroing moderately-sized
structure by applying the following transformation:
memset(x, 0, sizeof(x)) => zeromem(x, sizeof(x))

As the Trusted Firmware is compiled with -ffreestanding, it forbids the

the slow memset implementation. Zeromem is a near drop in replacement
for this use case, with a more efficient implementation on both AArch32

To avoid timing side-channel attacks, it is needed to use a constant
time memory comparison function when comparing hashes. The affected
code only cheks for equality so it isn't needed to use any variant of
memcmp(), bcmp() is enough.

Also, timingsafe_bcmp() is as fast as memcmp() when the two compared
regions are equal, so this change incurrs no performance hit in said
case. In case they are unequal, the boot sequence wouldn't continue as
normal, so performance is not an issue.

Masahiro Yamada 3d8256b2a1 Use #ifdef for IMAGE_BL* instead of #if
One nasty part of ATF is some of boolean macros are always defined
as 1 or 0, and the rest of them are only defined under certain
conditions.

For the former group, "#if FOO" or "#if !FOO" must be used because
"#ifdef FOO" is always true. (Options passed by $(call add_define,)
are the cases.)

For the latter, "#ifdef FOO" or "#ifndef FOO" should be used because
checking the value of an undefined macro is strange.

Here, IMAGE_BL* is handled by make_helpers/build_macro.mk like
follows:

  $(eval IMAGE := IMAGE_BL$(call uppercase,$(3)))

  $(OBJ): $(2)
          @echo "  CC      $$<"
          $$(Q)$$(CC) $$(TF_CFLAGS) $$(CFLAGS) -D$(IMAGE) -c $$< -o $$@

This means, IMAGE_BL* is defined when building the corresponding
image, but *undefined* for the other images.

So, IMAGE_BL* belongs to the latter group where we should use #ifdef
or #ifndef.

dp-arm d35dee23b6 tbbr: Fix updating of Non-Trusted NV counter
The previous code required that a certificate be signed with the ROT
key before the platform's NV counter could be updated with the value
in the certificate. This implies that the Non-Trusted NV counter was
not being updated for Non-Trusted content certificates, as they cannot
be signed with the ROT key in the TBBR CoT scheme.

The code is reworked to only allow updating the platform's Trusted NV
counter when a certificate protected by the Trusted NV counter is
signed with the ROT key.

Content certificates protected by the Non-Trusted NV counter are
allowed to update the platform's Non-Trusted NV counter, assuming
that the certificate value is higher than the platform's value.

A new optional platform API has been introduced, named
plat_set_nv_ctr2(). Platforms may choose to implement it and perform
additional checks based on the authentication image descriptor before
modifying the NV counters. A default weak implementation is available
that just calls into plat_set_nv_ctr().

As per the GICv3 specification, to power down a processor using GICv3
and allow automatic power-on if an interrupt must be sent to a processor,
software must set Enable to zero for all interrupt groups(by writing to
GICC_CTLR or ICC_IGRPEN{0,1}_EL1/3 as appropriate.

Also, NonSecure EL1 software may not be aware of the CPU power state
details and fail to choose right states that require quiescing the CPU
interface. So it's preferred that the PSCI implementation handles it as
it is fully aware of the CPU power states.

This patch adds disabling of Group1 NonSecure interrupts during processor

interrupt groups are handled at once as per specification.

The legacy GIC driver assumes that the SGIs and PPIs are Group0 during

have already initialized the GIC hardware which means that SGI and PPI

not done in the GICv2-only driver because unlike in the legacy driver,
`gicd_set_ipriorityr()` of GICv2 driver doesn't enforce this policy and
the appropriate group is set irrespective of the initial value.

Soby Mathew 04943d33cf Allow dynamic overriding of ROTPK verification
A production ROM with TBB enabled must have the ability to boot test software
before a real ROTPK is deployed (e.g. manufacturing mode). Previously the
function plat_get_rotpk_info() must return a valid ROTPK for TBB to succeed.
This patch adds an additional bit `ROTPK_NOT_DEPLOYED` in the output `flags`
parameter from plat_get_rotpk_info(). If this bit is set, then the ROTPK
in certificate is used without verifying against the platform value.

Yatharth Kochar 9fbdb80209 Use unsigned long long instead of uintptr_t in TZC400/DMC500 drivers
Currently the `tzc400_configure_region` and `tzc_dmc500_configure_region`
functions uses uintptr_t as the data type for `region_top` and `region_base`
variables, which will be converted to 32/64 bits for AArch32/AArch64
respectively. But the expectation is to keep these addresses at least 64 bit.

This patch modifies the data types to make it at least 64 bit by using
unsigned long long instead of uintptr_t for the `region_top` and
`region_base` variables. It also modifies the associated macros
`_tzc##fn_name##_write_region_xxx` accordingly.

Vikram Kanigiri 6b47706375 Refactor the ARM CoreLink TZC-400 driver
TrustZone protection can be programmed by both memory and TrustZone
address space controllers like DMC-500 and TZC-400. These peripherals
share a similar programmer's view.

Furthermore, it is possible to have multiple instances of each type of
peripheral in a system resulting in multiple programmer's views.
For example, on the TZC-400 each of the 4 filter units can be enabled
or disabled for each region. There is a single set of registers to
program the region attributes. On the DMC-500, each filter unit has its
own programmer's view resulting in multiple sets of registers to program
the region attributes. The layout of the registers is almost the same
across all these variations.

Hence the existing driver in `tzc400\tzc400.c` is refactored into the
new driver in `tzc\tzc400.c`. The previous driver file is still maintained
for compatibility and it is now deprecated.

Juan Castillo 48279d52a7 TBB: add non-volatile counter support
This patch adds support for non-volatile counter authentication to
the Authentication Module. This method consists of matching the
counter values provided in the certificates with the ones stored
in the platform. If the value from the certificate is lower than
the platform, the boot process is aborted. This mechanism protects
the system against rollback.

The TBBR CoT has been updated to include this method as part of the
authentication process. Two counters are used: one for the trusted
world images and another for the non trusted world images.

** NEW PLATFORM APIs (mandatory when TBB is enabled) **

int plat_get_nv_ctr(void *cookie, unsigned int *nv_ctr);

This API returns the non-volatile counter value stored
in the platform. The cookie in the first argument may be
used to select the counter in case the platform provides
more than one (i.e. TBSA compliant platforms must provide
trusted and non-trusted counters). This cookie is specified
    in the CoT.

int plat_set_nv_ctr(void *cookie, unsigned int nv_ctr);

This API sets a new counter value. The cookie may be
used to select the counter to be updated.

An implementation of these new APIs for ARM platforms is also
provided. The values are obtained from the Trusted Non-Volatile
Counters peripheral. The cookie is used to pass the extension OID.
This OID may be interpreted by the platform to know which counter
must return. On Juno, The trusted and non-trusted counter values
have been tied to 31 and 223, respectively, and cannot be modified.

** IMPORTANT **

THIS PATCH BREAKS THE BUILD WHEN TRUSTED_BOARD_BOOT IS ENABLED. THE
NEW PLATFORM APIs INTRODUCED IN THIS PATCH MUST BE IMPLEMENTED IN
ORDER TO SUCCESSFULLY BUILD TF.

Juan Castillo 8dadabd288 Fix potential deadlock in PL011 init function
The PL011 initialization function disables the UART, flushes the FIFO
and waits for the current character to be transmitted before applying
the configuration and enabling the UART. This waiting might result in
a deadlock if the FIFO is disabled while another CPU is printing a
message since the flush of FIFO will never finish.

This patch fixes the problem by removing the flush operation and the
loop for last character completion from the initialization function.
The UART is disabled, configured and enabled again.

Soby Mathew e9ec3cec65 Move private APIs in gic_common.h to a private header
This patch moves the private GIC common accessors from `gic_common.h` to
a new private header file `gic_common_private.h`. This patch also adds
additional comments to GIC register accessors to highlight the fact
that some of them access register values that correspond to multiple
interrupt IDs. The convention used is that the `set`, `get` and `clr`
accessors access and modify the values corresponding to a single interrupt
ID whereas the `read` and `write` GIC register accessors access the raw
GIC registers and it could correspond to multiple interrupt IDs depending
on the register accessed.

Soby Mathew 38a7861450 Fix GIC_IPRIORITYR setting in new drivers
The code to set the interrupt priority for secure interrupts in the
new GICv2 and GICv3 drivers is incorrect. The setup code to configure
interrupt priorities of secure interrupts, one interrupt at a time, used
gicd_write_ipriorityr()/gicr_write_ipriority() function affecting
4 interrupts at a time. This bug did not manifest itself because all the
secure interrupts were configured to the highest secure priority(0) during
cold boot and the adjacent non secure interrupt priority would be configured
later by the normal world. This patch introduces new accessors,
gicd_set_ipriorityr() and gicr_set_ipriorityr(), for configuring priority
one interrupt at a time and fixes the the setup code to use the new
accessors.

Soby Mathew a91e12fbea Fix race in GIC IPRIORITY and ITARGET accessors
GICD_IPRIORITYR and GICD_ITARGETSR specifically support byte addressing
so that individual interrupt priorities can be atomically updated by
issuing a single byte write. The previous implementation of
gicd_set_ipriority() and gicd_set_itargetsr() used 32-bit register
accesses, modifying values for 4 interrupts at a time, using a
read-modify-write approach. This potentially may cause concurrent changes
by other CPUs to the adjacent interrupts to be corrupted. This patch fixes
the issue by modifying these accessors to use byte addressing.

Vikram Kanigiri 3105f7ba9a Bug fix: Rectify logic to enter or exit from DVM domain
Currently, `ccn_snoop_dvm_domain_common()` is responsible for providing
a bitmap of HN-F and HN-I nodes in the interconnect. There is a request
node (RN) corresponding to the master interface (e.g. cluster) that needs
to be added or removed from the snoop/DVM domain. This request node is
removed from or added to each HN-F or HN-I node present in the bitmap
depending upon the type of domain.

The above logic is incorrect when participation of a master interface in
the DVM domain has to be managed. The request node should be removed
from or added to the single Miscellaneous Node (MN) in the system
instead of each HN-I node.

This patch fixes this by removing the intermediate
`ccn_snoop_dvm_domain_common()` and instead reads the MN registers to
get the needed node Id bitmap for snoop(HN-F bitmap) and DVM(MN bitmap)
domains.

Additionally, it renames `MN_DDC_SET_OFF` to `MN_DDC_SET_OFFSET` to
be inline with other macros.

Disable PL011 UART before configuring it

Juan Castillo 9400b40ea4 Disable PL011 UART before configuring it
The PL011 TRM (ARM DDI 0183G) specifies that the UART must be
disabled before any of the control registers are programmed. The
PL011 driver included in TF does not disable the UART, so the
initialization in BL2 and BL31 is violating this requirement
(and potentially in BL1 if the UART is enabled after reset).

This patch modifies the initialization function in the PL011
console driver to disable the UART before programming the
control registers.
