Achin Gupta bdd2596d42 SPMD: add SPM dispatcher based upon SPCI Beta 0 spec
This patch adds a rudimentary SPM dispatcher component in EL3.
It does the following:

- Consumes the TOS_FW_CONFIG to determine properties of the SPM core
  component
- Initialises the SPM core component which resides in the BL32 image
- Implements a handler for SPCI calls from either security state. Some
basic validation is done for each call but in most cases it is simply
forwarded as-is to the "other" security state.

This patch repurposes the TOS FW configuration file as the manifest for
the SPM core component which will reside at the secure EL adjacent to

the core component must be initialised. Routines and data structure to
parse the manifest have also been added.

Manish Pandey 3977a82564 SPM: modify sptool to generate individual SP blobs
Currently sptool generates a single blob containing all the Secure
Partitions, with latest SPM implementation, it is desirable to have
individual blobs for each Secure Partition. It allows to leverage
packaging and parsing of SP on existing FIP framework. It also allows
SP packages coming from different sources.

This patch modifies sptool so that it takes number of SP payload pairs
as input and generates number of SP blobs instead of a single blob.

Each SP blob can optionally have its own header containing offsets and
sizes of different payloads along with a SP magic number and version.
It is also associated in FIP with a UUID, provided by SP owner.

Usage example:
sptool -i sp1.bin:sp1.dtb -o sp1.pkg -i sp2.bin:sp2.dtb -o sp2.pkg ...

Alexei Fedorov 68c76088d3 Make PAC demangling more generic
At the moment, address demangling is only used by the backtrace

Louis Mayencourt 25ac87940c fconf: Add dynamic config DTBs info as property
This patch introduces a better separation between the trusted-boot
related properties, and the dynamic configuration DTBs loading
information.

The dynamic configuration DTBs properties are moved to a new node:
`dtb-registry`. All the sub-nodes present will be provided to the
dynamic config framework to be loaded. The node currently only contains
the already defined configuration DTBs, but can be extended for future
features if necessary.
The dynamic config framework is modified to use the abstraction provided
by the fconf framework, instead of directly accessing the DTBs.

The trusted-boot properties are kept under the "arm,tb_fw" compatible
string, but in a separate `tb_fw-config` node.
The `tb_fw-config` property of the `dtb-registry` node simply points
to the load address of `fw_config`, as the `tb_fw-config` is currently
part of the same DTB.

Louis Mayencourt ab1981db9e fconf: initial commit
Introduce the Firmware CONfiguration Framework (fconf).

The fconf is an abstraction layer for platform specific data, allowing
a "property" to be queried and a value retrieved without the requesting
entity knowing what backing store is being used to hold the data.

The default backing store used is C structure. If another backing store
has to be used, the platform integrator needs to provide a "populate()"
function to fill the corresponding C structure.
The "populate()" function must be registered to the fconf framework with
the "FCONF_REGISTER_POPULATOR()". This ensures that the function would
be called inside the "fconf_populate()" function.

A two level macro is used as getter:
- the first macro takes 3 parameters and converts it to a function
  call: FCONF_GET_PROPERTY(a,b,c) -> a__b_getter(c).
- the second level defines a__b_getter(c) to the matching C structure,
  variable, array, function, etc..

Ex: Get a Chain of trust property:
    1) FCONF_GET_PROPERY(tbbr, cot, BL2_id) -> tbbr__cot_getter(BL2_id)
    2) tbbr__cot_getter(BL2_id) -> cot_desc_ptr[BL2_id]

Max Shvetsov a6ffddec33 Adds option to read ROTPK from registers for FVP
Enables usage of ARM_ROTPK_LOCATION=regs for FVP board.
Removes hard-coded developer keys. Instead, setting
ARM_ROTPK_LOCATION=devel_* takes keys from default directory.
In case of ROT_KEY specified - generates a new hash and replaces the
original.

Note: Juno board was tested by original feature author and was not tested
for this patch since we don't have access to the private key. Juno
implementation was moved to board-specific file without changing
functionality. It is not known whether byte-swapping is still needed
for this platform.

In order to access MG SRAM, the amb bridge needs to be configured which is
done in bl2 platform init.

For MG CM3, the image is only loaded to its SRAM and the CM3 itself is
left in reset. It is because the next stage bootloader (e.g. u-boot)
will trigger action which will take it out of reset when needed. This
can happen e.g. when appropriate device-tree setup (which has enabled
802.3 auto-neg) will be chosen. In other cases the MG CM3 should not be
running.

Anthony Steinhauser f461fe346b Prevent speculative execution past ERET
Even though ERET always causes a jump to another address, aarch64 CPUs
speculatively execute following instructions as if the ERET
instruction was not a jump instruction.
The speculative execution does not cross privilege-levels (to the jump
target as one would expect), but it continues on the kernel privilege
level as if the ERET instruction did not change the control flow -
thus execution anything that is accidentally linked after the ERET
instruction. Later, the results of this speculative execution are
always architecturally discarded, however they can leak data using
microarchitectural side channels. This speculative execution is very
reliable (seems to be unconditional) and it manages to complete even
relatively performance-heavy operations (e.g. multiple dependent
fetches from uncached memory).

This was fixed in Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and Optee OS:

Lionel Debieve b114abb609 Add raw NAND framework
The raw NAND framework supports SLC NAND devices.

It introduces a new high level interface (io_mtd) that
defines operations a driver can register to the NAND framework.
This interface will fill in the io_mtd device specification:
	- device_size
        - erase_size
that could be used by the io_storage interface.

NAND core source file integrates the standard read loop that
performs NAND device read operations using a skip bad block strategy.
A platform buffer must be defined in case of unaligned
data. This buffer must fit to the maximum device page size
defined by PLATFORM_MTD_MAX_PAGE_SIZE.

The raw_nand.c source file embeds the specific NAND operations
to read data.
The read command is a raw page read without any ECC correction.
This can be overridden by a low level driver.
No generic support for write or erase command or software
ECC correction.

NAND ONFI detection is available and can be enabled using
NAND_ONFI_DETECT=1.
For non-ONFI NAND management, platform can define required
information.

Deepika Bhavnani 5b33ad174a Unify type of "cpu_idx" across PSCI module.
NOTE for platform integrators:
   API `plat_psci_stat_get_residency()` third argument
`last_cpu_idx` is changed from "signed int" to the
   "unsigned int" type.

Issue / Trouble points
1. cpu_idx is used as mix of `unsigned int` and `signed int` in code
with typecasting at some places leading to coverity issues.

2. Underlying platform API's return cpu_idx as `unsigned int`
and comparison is performed with platform specific defines
`PLAFORM_xxx` which is not consistent

Misra Rule 10.4:
The value of a complex expression of integer type may only be cast to
a type that is narrower and of the same signedness as the underlying
type of the expression.

Based on above points, cpu_idx is kept as `unsigned int` to match
the API's and low-level functions and platform defines are updated
where ever required

Vishnu Banavath c20c05252c drivers: add a driver for snoop control unit
The SCU connects one to four Cortex-A5/Cortex-A9 processors
to the memory system through the AXI interfaces.

The SCU functions are to:
- maintain data cache coherency between the Cortex-A5/Cortex-A9
  processors
- initiate L2 AXI memory accesses
- arbitrate between Cortex-A5/Cortex-A9 processors requesting
  L2 accesses
- manage ACP accesses.

Snoop Control Unit will enable to snoop on other CPUs caches.
This is very important when it comes to synchronizing data between
CPUs. As an example, there is a high chance that data might be
cache'd and other CPUs can't see the change. In such cases,
if snoop control unit is enabled, data is synchoronized immediately
between CPUs and the changes are visible to other CPUs.

This driver provides functionality to enable SCU as well as enabling
user to know the following
- number of CPUs present
- is a particular CPU operating in SMP mode or AMP mode
- data cache size of a particular CPU
- does SCU has ACP port
- is L2CPRESENT

Andre Przywara cd50ffd2fc console: 16550: Prepare for skipping initialisation
On some platforms the UART might have already been initialised, for
instance by firmware running before TF-A or by a separate management
processor. In this case it would not be need to initialise it again
(doing so could create spurious characters). But more importantly this
saves us from knowing the right baudrate and the right base clock rate
for the UART. This can lead to more robust and versatile firmware builds.

Allow to skip the 16550 UART initialisation and baud rate divisor
programming, by interpreting an input clock rate of "0" to signify this
case. This will just skip the call to console_16550_core_init, but still
will register the console properly.

Users should just pass 0 as the second parameter, the baudrate (third
parameter) will then be ignored as well.

Fix copy & paste typos in comments for the console_16550_register()
function on the way.

Paul Beesley aeaa225cbe spm-mm: Refactor secure_partition.h and its contents
Before adding any new SPM-related components we should first do
some cleanup around the existing SPM-MM implementation. The aim
is to make sure that any SPM-MM components have names that clearly
indicate that they are MM-related. Otherwise, when adding new SPM
code, it could quickly become confusing as it would be unclear to
which component the code belongs.

The secure_partition.h header is a clear example of this, as the
name is generic so it could easily apply to any SPM-related code,
when it is in fact SPM-MM specific.

This patch renames the file and the two structures defined within
it, and then modifies any references in files that use the header.

Paul Beesley 3f3c341ae5 Remove dependency between SPM_MM and ENABLE_SPM build flags
There are two different implementations of Secure Partition
management in TF-A. One is based on the "Management Mode" (MM)
design, the other is based on the Secure Partition Client Interface
(SPCI) specification. Currently there is a dependency between their
build flags that shouldn't exist, making further development
harder than it should be. This patch removes that
dependency, making the two flags function independently.

Before: ENABLE_SPM=1 is required for using either implementation.
By default, the SPCI-based implementation is enabled and
        this is overridden if SPM_MM=1.

After: ENABLE_SPM=1 enables the SPCI-based implementation.
       SPM_MM=1 enables the MM-based implementation.
The two build flags are mutually exclusive.

Note that the name of the ENABLE_SPM flag remains a bit
ambiguous - this will be improved in a subsequent patch. For this
patch the intention was to leave the name as-is so that it is
easier to track the changes that were made.

Previously, the A64/H5 and H6 platforms' PMIC setup code was entirely
independent. However, some H6 boards also need early regulator setup.

Most of the register interface and all of the device tree traversal code
can be reused between the AXP803 and AXP805. The main difference is the
hardware bus interface, so that part is left to the platforms. The
remainder is moved into a driver.

I factored out the bits that were obviously specific to the AXP803;
additional changes for compatibility with other PMICs can be made as
needed.

The only functional change is that rsb_init() now checks the PMIC's chip
ID register against the expected value. This was already being done in

When a Firmware is complied as Position Independent Executable it needs
to request GDT fixup by passing size of the memory region to
el3_entrypoint_common macro.
The Global descriptor table fixup will be done early on during cold boot
process of primary core.

Currently only BL31 supports PIE, but in future when BL2_AT_EL3 will be
compiled as PIE, it can simply pass fixup size to the common el3
entrypoint macro to fixup GDT.

The reason for this patch was to overcome the bug introduced by SHA

re-initializing of global pointers thus overwriting any changes
done by the previous core.

Madhukar Pappireddy e34cc0cedc Changes to support updated register usage in SMCCC v1.2
From AArch64 state, arguments are passed in registers W0-W7(X0-X7)
and results are returned in W0-W7(X0-X7) for SMC32(SMC64) calls.
From AArch32 state, arguments are passed in registers R0-R7 and
results are returned in registers R0-R7 for SMC32 calls.

Most of the functions and macros already existed to support using
upto 8 registers for passing/returning parameters/results. Added
few helper macros for SMC calls from AArch32 state.

Madhukar Pappireddy ec834925f3 GICv3: Enable multi socket GIC redistributor frame discovery
This patch provides declaration and definition of new GICv3 driver
API: gicv3_rdistif_probe().This function delegates the responsibility
of discovering the corresponding Redistributor base frame to each CPU
itself. It is a modified version of gicv3_rdistif_base_addrs_probe()
and is executed by each CPU in the platform unlike the previous
approach in which only the Primary CPU did the discovery of all the
Redistributor frames for every CPU.

The flush operations as part of gicv3_driver_init() function are
made necessary even for platforms with WARMBOOT_ENABLE_DCACHE_EARLY
because the GICv3 driver data structure contents are accessed by CPU
with D-Cache turned off during power down operations.

Andre Przywara 3ef45dda88 Add fdt_add_reserved_memory() helper function
If a firmware component like TF-A reserves special memory regions for
its own or secure payload services, it should announce the location and
size of those regions to the non-secure world. This will avoid
disappointment when some rich OS tries to acccess this memory, which
will likely end in a crash.

The traditional way of advertising reserved memory using device tree is
using the special memreserve feature of the device tree blob (DTB).
However by definition those regions mentioned there do not prevent the
rich OS to map this memory, which may lead to speculative accesses to
this memory and hence spurious bus errors.

A safer way of carving out memory is to use the /reserved-memory node as
part of the normal DT structure. Besides being easier to setup, this
also defines an explicit "no-map" property to signify the secure-only
nature of certain memory regions, which avoids the rich OS to
accidentally step on it.

Add a helper function to allow platform ports to easily add a region.

Andre Przywara f240728b76 qemu: Move and generalise FDT PSCI fixup
The QEMU platform port scans its device tree to advertise PSCI as the
CPU enable method. It does this by scanning *every* node in the DT and
check whether its compatible string starts with "arm,cortex-a". Then it
sets the enable-method to PSCI, if it doesn't already have one.

Other platforms might want to use this functionality as well, so let's
move it out of the QEMU platform directory and make it more robust by
fixing some shortcomings:
- A compatible string starting with a certain prefix is not a good way
to find the CPU nodes. For instance a "arm,cortex-a72-pmu" node will
match as well and is in turn favoured with an enable-method.
- If the DT already has an enable-method, we won't change this to PSCI.

Those two issues will for instance fail on the Raspberry Pi 4 DT.
To fix those problems, we adjust the scanning method:
The DT spec says that all CPU nodes are subnodes of the mandatory
/cpus node, which is a subnode of the root node. Also each CPU node has
to have a device_type = "cpu" property. So we find the /cpus node, then
scan for a subnode with the proper device_type, forcing the
enable-method to "psci".
We have to restart this search after a property has been patched, as the
node offsets might have changed meanwhile.

This allows this routine to be reused for the Raspberry Pi 4 later.

This patch provides the following features and makes modifications
listed below:
- Individual APIAKey key generation for each CPU.
- New key generation on every BL31 warm boot and TSP CPU On event.
- Per-CPU storage of APIAKey added in percpu_data[]
  of cpu_data structure.
- `plat_init_apiakey()` function replaced with `plat_init_apkey()`
which returns 128-bit value and uses Generic timer physical counter
value to increase the randomness of the generated key.
The new function can be used for generation of all ARMv8.3-PAuth keys
- ARMv8.3-PAuth specific code placed in `lib\extensions\pauth`.
- New `pauth_init_enable_el1()` and `pauth_init_enable_el3()` functions
  generate, program and enable APIAKey_EL1 for EL1 and EL3 respectively;
  pauth_disable_el1()` and `pauth_disable_el3()` functions disable
  PAuth for EL1 and EL3 respectively;
  `pauth_load_bl31_apiakey()` loads saved per-CPU APIAKey_EL1 from
  cpu-data structure.
- Combined `save_gp_pauth_registers()` function replaces calls to
  `save_gp_registers()` and `pauth_context_save()`;
  `restore_gp_pauth_registers()` replaces `pauth_context_restore()`
  and `restore_gp_registers()` calls.
- `restore_gp_registers_eret()` function removed with corresponding
  code placed in `el3_exit()`.
- Fixed the issue when `pauth_t pauth_ctx` structure allocated space
for 12 uint64_t PAuth registers instead of 10 by removal of macro
  CTX_PACGAKEY_END from `include/lib/el3_runtime/aarch64/context.h`
and assigning its value to CTX_PAUTH_REGS_END.
- Use of MODE_SP_ELX and MODE_SP_EL0 macro definitions
in `msr	spsel` instruction instead of hard-coded values.
- Changes in documentation related to ARMv8.3-PAuth and ARMv8.5-BTI.

Some of the platform (ie. Agilex) make use of CCU IPs which will only be
initialized during bl2_el3_early_platform_setup. Any operation to the
cache beforehand will crash the platform. Hence, this will provide an
option to skip the data cache invalidation upon bl2 entry at EL3

Julius Werner 402b3cf876 Switch AARCH32/AARCH64 to __aarch64__
NOTE: AARCH32/AARCH64 macros are now deprecated in favor of __aarch64__.

All common C compilers pre-define the same macros to signal which
architecture the code is being compiled for: __arm__ for AArch32 (or
earlier versions) and __aarch64__ for AArch64. There's no need for TF-A
to define its own custom macros for this. In order to unify code with
the export headers (which use __aarch64__ to avoid another dependency),
let's deprecate the AARCH32 and AARCH64 macros and switch the code base
over to the pre-defined standard macro. (Since it is somewhat
unintuitive that __arm__ only means AArch32, let's standardize on only
using __aarch64__.)

NOTE: __ASSEMBLY__ macro is now deprecated in favor of __ASSEMBLER__.

let's deprecate __ASSEMBLY__ and switch the code base over to the

Code using Cryptocell specific APIs was used as part of the
arm common board ROT support, instead of being abstracted
in Cryptocell specific driver code, creating two problems:
- Any none arm board that uses Cryptocell wuld need to

- Inability to cleanly support multiple versions of Cryptocell

Move over Cryptocell specific API calls into the Cryptocell

John Tsichritzis c250cc3b1b SSBS: init SPSR register with default SSBS value
This patch introduces an additional precautionary step to further
enhance protection against variant 4. During the context initialisation
before we enter the various BL stages, the SPSR.SSBS bit is explicitly
set to zero. As such, speculative loads/stores are by default disabled
for all BL stages when they start executing. Subsequently, each BL
stage, can choose to enable speculative loads/stores or keep them
disabled.

This change doesn't affect the initial execution context of BL33 which
is totally platform dependent and, thus, it is intentionally left up to
each platform to initialise.

For Arm platforms, SPSR.SSBS is set to zero for BL33 too. This means
that, for Arm platforms, all BL stages start with speculative
loads/stores disabled.

Julius Werner d9af1f7b6f Add helper to parse BL31 parameters (both versions)
BL31 used to take a single bl31_params_t parameter structure with entry
point information in arg0. In commit 726002263 (Add new version of image
loading.) this API was changed to a more flexible linked list approach,
and the old parameter structure was copied into all platforms that still
used the old format. This duplicated code unnecessarily among all these
platforms.

This patch adds a helper function that platforms can optionally link to
outsource the task of interpreting arg0. Many platforms are just
interested in the BL32 and BL33 entry point information anyway. Since
some platforms still need to support the old version 1 parameters, the
helper will support both formats when ERROR_DEPRECATED == 0. This allows
those platforms to drop a bunch of boilerplate code and asynchronously
update their BL2 implementation to the newer format.

Julius Werner 57bf605772 Factor out cross-BL API into export headers suitable for 3rd party code
This patch adds a new include/export/ directory meant for inclusion in
third-party code. This is useful for cases where third-party code needs
to interact with TF-A interfaces and data structures (such as a custom
BL2-implementation like coreboot handing off to BL31). Directly
including headers from the TF-A repository avoids having to duplicate
all these definitions (and risk them going stale), but with the current
header structure this is not possible because handoff API definitions
are too deeply intertwined with other TF code/headers and chain-include
other headers that will not be available in the other environment.

The new approach aims to solve this by separating only the parts that
are really needed into these special headers that are self-contained and
will not chain-include other (non-export) headers. TF-A code should
never include them directly but should instead always include the
respective wrapper header, which will include the required prerequisites
(like <stdint.h>) before including the export header. Third-party code
can include the export headers via its own wrappers that make sure the
necessary definitions are available in whatever way that environment can
provide them.

Julius Werner 9352be8803 Use explicit-width data types in AAPCS parameter structs
It's not a good idea to use u_register_t for the members of
aapcs64_params_t and aapcs32_params_t, since the width of that type
always depends on the current execution environment. This would cause
problems if e.g. we used this structure to set up the entry point of an
AArch32 program from within an AArch64 program. (It doesn't seem like
any code is doing that today, but it's probably still a good idea to
write this defensively. Also, it helps with my next patch.)

Ambroise Vincent 37b70031e0 arm: Shorten the Firmware Update (FWU) process
The watchdog is configured with a default value of 256 seconds in order
to implement the Trusted Board Boot Requirements.

For the FVP and Juno platforms, the FWU process relies on a watchdog
reset. In order to automate the test of FWU, the length of this process
needs to be as short as possible. Instead of waiting for those 4 minutes
to have a reset by the watchdog, tell it to reset immediately.

There are no side effects as the value of the watchdog's load register
resets to 0xFFFFFFFF.

Tested on Juno.

Julius Werner b852d229f3 Introduce lightweight BL platform parameter library
This patch adds some common helper code to support a lightweight
platform parameter passing framework between BLs that has already been
used on Rockchip platforms but is more widely useful to others as well.
It can be used as an implementation for the SoC firmware configuration
file mentioned in the docs, and is primarily intended for platforms
that only require a handful of values to be passed and want to get by
without a libfdt dependency. Parameters are stored in a linked list and
the parameter space is split in generic and vendor-specific parameter
types. Generic types will be handled by this code whereas
vendor-specific types have to be handled by a vendor-specific handler
function that gets passed in.

Manoj Kumar de8bc83ee9 n1sdp: add code for DDR ECC enablement and BL33 copy to DDR
N1SDP platform supports RDIMMs with ECC capability. To use the ECC
capability, the entire DDR memory space has to be zeroed out before
enabling the ECC bits in DMC620. Zeroing out several gigabytes of
memory from SCP is quite time consuming so functions are added that
zeros out the DDR memory from application processor which is
much faster compared to SCP. BL33 binary cannot be copied to DDR memory
before enabling ECC so this is also done by TF-A from IOFPGA-DDR3
memory to main DDR4 memory after ECC is enabled.

Original PLAT_PHY_ADDR_SPACE_SIZE was limited to 36-bits with which
the entire DDR space cannot be accessed as DRAM2 starts in base
0x8080000000. So these macros are redefined for all ARM platforms.

Yann Gautier d4151d2ff9 clk: stm32mp1: use defines for mask values in stm32mp1_clk_sel array
Rework the macro that eases the table definition: the src and msk fields
are now using MASK and SHIFT defines of each source register.
Some macros had then to be modified: _USART1_SEL, _ASS_SEL and _MSS_SEL to
_UART1_SEL, _AXIS_SEL, and _MCUS_SEL to match register fields.

Note: the mask for RCC_ASSCKSELR_AXISSRC is changed from 0x3 to 0x7
to reflect the size of the register field, even if there are only
3 possible clock sources.

The mask value is also corrected for QSPI and FMC clock selection.

Sandrine Bailleux 2efb7ddc3b Fix type of cot_desc_ptr
The chain of trust description and the pointer pointing to its first
element were incompatible, thus requiring an explicit type cast for
the assignment.

- cot_desc was an array of
const pointers to const image descriptors.

- cot_desc_ptr was a const pointer to
(non-constant) pointers to const image descriptors.

Thus, trying to assign cot_desc to cot_desc_ptr (with no cast) would
generate the following compiler warning:

drivers/auth/tbbr/tbbr_cot.c:826:14: warning: initialization discards
‘const’ qualifier from pointer target type [-Wdiscarded-qualifiers]
 REGISTER_COT(cot_desc);

Alexei Fedorov 9fc59639e6 Add support for Branch Target Identification
This patch adds the functionality needed for platforms to provide
Branch Target Identification (BTI) extension, introduced to AArch64
in Armv8.5-A by adding BTI instruction used to mark valid targets
for indirect branches. The patch sets new GP bit [50] to the stage 1
Translation Table Block and Page entries to denote guarded EL3 code
pages which will cause processor to trap instructions in protected
pages trying to perform an indirect branch to any instruction other
than BTI.
BTI feature is selected by BRANCH_PROTECTION option which supersedes
the previous ENABLE_PAUTH used for Armv8.3-A Pointer Authentication
and is disabled by default. Enabling BTI requires compiler support
and was tested with GCC versions 9.0.0, 9.0.1 and 10.0.0.
The assembly macros and helpers are modified to accommodate the BTI
instruction.
This is an experimental feature.
Note. The previous ENABLE_PAUTH build option to enable PAuth in EL3
is now made as an internal flag and BRANCH_PROTECTION flag should be
used instead to enable Pointer Authentication.
Note. USE_LIBROM=1 option is currently not supported.

Aditya Angadi b0c97dafe0 plat/arm: introduce wrapper functions to setup secure watchdog
The BL1 stage setup code for ARM platforms sets up the SP805 watchdog
controller as the secure watchdog. But not all ARM platforms use SP805
as the secure watchdog controller.

So introduce two new ARM platform code specific wrapper functions to
start and stop the secure watchdog. These functions then replace the
calls to SP805 driver in common BL1 setup code. All the ARM platforms
implement these wrapper functions by either calling into SP805 driver
or the SBSA watchdog driver.

Joel Hutton 30070427e3 cot-desc: optimise memory further
This changes the auth_img_desc_t struct to have pointers to struct
arrays instead of struct arrays. This saves memory as many of these
were never used, and can be NULL pointers. Note the memory savings are
only when these arrays are not initialised, as it is assumed these
arrays are fixed length. A possible future optimisation could allow for
variable length.

Joel Hutton 0b6377d1c6 Reduce memory needed for CoT description
When Trusted Board Boot is enabled, we need to specify the Chain of
Trust (CoT) of the BL1 and BL2 images. A CoT consists of an array
of image descriptors. The authentication module assumes that each
image descriptor in this array is indexed by its unique image
identifier. For example, the Trusted Boot Firmware Certificate has to
be at index [TRUSTED_BOOT_FW_CERT_ID].

Unique image identifiers may not necessarily be consecutive. Also,
a given BL image might not use all image descriptors. For example, BL1
does not need any of the descriptors related to BL31. As a result, the
CoT array might contain holes, which unnecessarily takes up space in
the BL binary.

Using pointers to auth_img_desc_t structs (rather than structs
themselves) means these unused elements only use 1 pointer worth of
space, rather than one struct worth of space. This patch also changes
the code which accesses this array to reflect the change to pointers.

Image descriptors not needed in BL1 or BL2 respectively are also
ifdef'd out in this patch. For example, verifying the BL31 image is
the responsibility of BL2 so BL1 does not need any of the data
structures describing BL31.

Manish Pandey fbd8f6c841 aarch32: Allow compiling with soft-float toolchain
ARMv7 and Cortex-A32(ARMv8/aarch32) uses "arm-linux-gnueabi" toolchain which
has both soft-float and hard-float variants and so there could be scenarios
where soft-float toolchain is used.Even though TF-A documentation recommends
to use hard-float toolchain for aarch32 but there are external projects where
we cannot mandate the selection of toolchain and for those projects at least
the build should not fail.

Current TF-A source fails to build with soft-float toolchain because assembler
does not recognizes "vmsr" instruction which is required to enable floating
point unit.

To avoid this piece of code being compiled with soft-float toolchain add
predefined macro guard " __SOFTFP__" exposed by soft-float toolchain.

Antonio Nino Diaz b86048c40c Add support for pointer authentication
The previous commit added the infrastructure to load and save
ARMv8.3-PAuth registers during Non-secure <-> Secure world switches, but
didn't actually enable pointer authentication in the firmware.

This patch adds the functionality needed for platforms to provide
authentication keys for the firmware, and a new option (ENABLE_PAUTH) to
enable pointer authentication in the firmware itself. This option is
disabled by default, and it requires CTX_INCLUDE_PAUTH_REGS to be
enabled.

Antonio Nino Diaz 5283962eba Add ARMv8.3-PAuth registers to CPU context
ARMv8.3-PAuth adds functionality that supports address authentication of
the contents of a register before that register is used as the target of
an indirect branch, or as a load.

This feature is supported only in AArch64 state.

This feature is mandatory in ARMv8.3 implementations.

This feature adds several registers to EL1. A new option called
CTX_INCLUDE_PAUTH_REGS has been added to select if the TF needs to save
them during Non-secure <-> Secure world switches. This option must be
enabled if the hardware has the registers or the values will be leaked
during world switches.

To prevent leaks, this patch also disables pointer authentication in the
Secure world if CTX_INCLUDE_PAUTH_REGS is 0. Any attempt to use it will
be trapped in EL3.

Antonio Nino Diaz ed4fc6f026 Disable processor Cycle Counting in Secure state
In a system with ARMv8.5-PMU implemented:

- If EL3 is using AArch32, setting MDCR_EL3.SCCD to 1 disables counting
  in Secure state in PMCCNTR.

- If EL3 is using AArch64, setting SDCR.SCCD to 1 disables counting in
  Secure state in PMCCNTR_EL0.

So far this effect has been achieved by setting PMCR_EL0.DP (in AArch64)
or PMCR.DP (in AArch32) to 1 instead, but this isn't considered secure
as any EL can change that value.

Antonio Nino Diaz ff6f62e105 Update macro to check need for CVE-2017-5715 mitigation
Armv8.5 introduces the field CSV2 to register ID_AA64PFR0_EL1. It can
have the following 3 values:

- 0: Branch targets trained in one hardware described context may affect
speculative execution in a different hardware described context. In
some CPUs it may be needed to apply mitigations.

- 1: Branch targets trained in one hardware described context can only
affect speculative execution in a different hardware described
context in a hard-to-determine way. No mitigation required.

- 2: Same as 1, but the device is also aware of SCXTNUM_ELx register
contexts. The TF doesn't use the registers, so there is no
     difference with 1.

The field CSV2 was originally introduced in the TRM of the Cortex-A76
before the release of the Armv8.5 architecture. That TRM only mentions
the meaning of values 0 and 1. Because of this, the code only checks if
the field has value 1 to know whether to enable or disable the
mitigations.

This patch makes it aware of value 2 as well. Both values 1 and 2
disable the mitigation, and 0 enables it.

Antonio Nino Diaz 1a74e4a895 cpus: Add casts to all definitions in CPU headers
There are some incorrect casts and some missing casts in the headers.
This patch fixes the ones that were 64-bit or 32-bit wide wrongly and
adds casts where they were missing.

Note that none of the changes of the patch actually changes the values
of the definitions. This patch is just for correctness.

Antonio Nino Diaz a69817eda2 cpus: Fix some incorrect definitions in CPU headers
There are some values that should be 64-bit immediates but that resolve
to 0 because the type of the value is 32-bit wide. This patch casts the
expressions to 64-bit before the shift so that the definition has the
correct value.

The definitions are only used in assembly so far, so the code is not
actually affected by this bug. The assembler treats all values as 64-bit
values, so there are no overflows.

Instead of having a custom implementation of setjmp() and longjmp() it
is better to follow the C standard.

The comments in setjmp.h are no longer needed as there are no deviations
from the expected one, so they have been removed.

All SDEI code that relied on them has been fixed to use the new function
prototypes and structs.

Many parts of the code were duplicating symbols that are defined in

This patch adds support to handle following TLK SMCs:
{TLK_SS_REGISTER_HANDLER, TLK_REGISTER_NS_DRAM_RANGES, TLK_SET_ROOT_OF_TRUST}

These SMCs need to be supported in ATF in order to forward them to

Brief:
TLK_SS_REGISTER_HANDLER: This SMC is issued by TLK Linux Driver to
set up secure storage buffers.

TLK_REGISTER_NS_DRAM_RANGES: Cboot performs this SMC during boot to
pass NS memory ranges to TLK.

TLK_SET_ROOT_OF_TRUST: Cboot performs this SMC during boot to pass

Sathees Balya 5b8d50e407 plat/arm: Save BL2 descriptors to reserved memory.
On ARM platforms, the BL2 memory can be overlaid by BL31/BL32. The memory
descriptors describing the list of executable images are created in BL2
R/W memory, which could be possibly corrupted later on by BL31/BL32 due
to overlay. This patch creates a reserved location in SRAM for these
descriptors and are copied over by BL2 before handing over to next BL
image.

Also this patch increases the PLAT_ARM_MAX_BL2_SIZE for juno when TBBR
is enabled.

Andrew F. Davis b5443284f4 ti: k3: common: Add support for runtime detection of GICR base address
Valid addresses for GICR base are always a set calculable distance from
the GICD and is based on the number of cores a given instance of GICv3 IP
can support. The formula for the number of address bits is given by the
ARM GIC-500 TRM section 3.2 as 2^(18+log2(cores)) with the MSB set to
one for GICR instances. Holes in the GIC address space are also
guaranteed to safely return 0 on reads. This allows us to support runtime
detection of the GICR base address by starting from GIC base address plus
BIT(18) and walking until the GICR ID register (IIDR) is detected. We
stop searching after BIT(20) to prevent searching out into space if
something goes wrong. This can be extended out if we ever have a device
with 16 or more cores.
